Pressure Cleaning in Eight Mile Plains
Eight Mile Plains is really several different suburbs in one. Logan Road, Warrigal Road and Padstow Road split it into pockets that each need a slightly different clean. The older grid streets off Logan Road are full of low-set brick homes and high-set post-war houses. Further east and south, the larger two-storey homes come with double garages, pools and big covered outdoor areas. Then there are the townhouse and villa complexes. In the 2021 Census, about one in four Eight Mile Plains homes was a townhouse or semi-detached dwelling, well above the Queensland average.
We’re a short drive from our Moorooka base, so Eight Mile Plains is one of our regular stops. Here’s what we usually see.
Shaded sides along the Bulimba Creek corridor. The creek’s tributaries and the green belt running through the suburb keep a lot of yards damp and shaded. South-facing paths, side passages and the strip behind the garage grow black mould and green algae fast, and they get slippery after a summer storm. We pre-treat the growth so it’s killed at the root, then clean with a surface cleaner. That way you don’t get the stripes a hand wand leaves.
Townhouse complexes and shared driveways. Common driveways, visitor parks, bin bays and entry paths take heavy daily traffic. Every owner in the complex sees them. We work with body corporate committees and managers. We can plan the work so residents can still get in and out.
Big outdoor areas on newer homes. Pool surrounds, alfresco tiles and exposed-aggregate driveways need the pressure set to suit the surface. Too much and you can loosen aggregate or etch the concrete. We check every surface before we start.
Offices around Brisbane Technology Park. The business precinct on Logan Road and Miles Platting Road has plenty of entry plazas, car parks and building facades that need regular cleaning to look sharp for tenants and visitors. Our commercial crews can quote one-off cleans or a recurring schedule.
Brick and render near the motorways. With the Pacific and Gateway motorways and the busway all meeting here, homes close to the main roads pick up a grey film on light-coloured render, gutters and fences. We use a low-pressure soft wash on render and painted surfaces, never a blaster.
We also cover the surrounding suburbs of Runcorn, Kuraby, Rochedale, Wishart, Upper Mount Gravatt and Underwood. Every job is backed by $20 million public liability insurance, and your price is locked in before we start, so you know who’s coming and what you’ll pay.

Eight Mile Plains Pressure Cleaning FAQs
Can you clean our whole townhouse complex in one visit?
Usually, yes. It depends on the size of the complex. We quote the common areas (driveways, visitor parks, paths and bin bays) as one job. If the committee wants it, we can split the work into sections so residents always have a way in and out. Send us a site plan or photos and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
My exposed-aggregate driveway is going black. Will pressure cleaning loosen the stones?
Not when it’s done properly. Exposed aggregate needs lower pressure and a surface cleaner, not a narrow tip held close to the surface. We pre-treat the mould first so the machine doesn’t have to work as hard. We can also talk you through clear coat sealing, which helps it stay clean for longer.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
No. As long as gates are unlocked and we can get to the areas being cleaned, we can do the job while you’re at work. We’ll send before and after photos when we’re done.
